The course anlyzses the most pressing urban issues and the ideological positions of people in the urban world, paying close attention to the public discourse and rhetoric. The course also explores worldviews as they relate to human reality and existence, in the urban context. Attention will be given to ideology and its role in shaping worldview within our present culture and society. Students will watch thought provoking films, engage in constructive dialogue and grapple with the socio-cultural issues of urban life.

1. Students will be aware of how worldview informs and affects Biblical interpretation (convservative) and application in the urban context.

3. Students will explore the opportunities, challenges, and strategies for the Church (evanglical) and Mission (evangelical) in a multicultural, urban environment and globalizing world.
