Focus of the Final Paper
The Final Paper should address the following Learning Outcomes:
Interpret criteria for child and adolescent development
Analyze and illustrate an essential understanding of normal child and adolescentdevelopment and identify its relationship to physical development.
Choose two (one from childhood and one from adolescence) of the following age ranges and analyze each from a cognitive, psychosocial (emotional), and biological perspective.
Compare and contrast normal versus abnormal development for each choice and illustrate with examples.
Finally, discuss how the interaction of cognitive, physical, and psychosocial (emotional) development can influence and impact the overall development of the child.
Writing the Final Paper
The Final Paper:
Must be eight double-spaced pages in length and formatted according to APA style as outlined in your approved style guide.
Must include a cover page that includes:
Name of paper
Course name and number
Must include an introductory paragraph with a succinct thesis statement.
Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
Must conclude with a restatement of the thesis and a conclusion paragraph.
Must use APA style as outlined in your approved style guide to document all sources.
Must include, on the final page, a Reference List that is completed according to APA style as outlined in your approved style guide
