U.S. Reliance of the National Guard during WWII

Hello, this is a request for a research paper on the following Topic Thesis/Question:

The National Guard was involved in numerous major wars during the 20th Century to include the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, the Viet Nam War, the Cold War and the First Gulf War. Out of all these conflicts, the United States relied most heavily upon the National Guard for manpower during World War II. (The paper should answer the question: What factors caused this reliance?)

If you find any of the following Instructions or Thesis confusing please let me know. It is imperative all of the instructions below are followed, especially regarding the source requirements and the number of sources per page (please note only 50% can be internet sources). The one issue you may have will deal with finding the text that is used for this course. I don’t believe it comes electronically. Good news is that a bulk will come from other sources…but I would like for the book to be quoted if possible. I am attaching what I think is the most relevant part of the book that would be quoted for this essay. If you do not think it will work let me know and I will look for other pages to attach.

Detailed Paper Instructions Provided by Instructor:

This paper is will be conducted by research with the emphasis on the effective analysis of detailed issues surrounding the topic. Success will be based primarily upon the ability to effectively support the paper’s thesis argument and provide and individual analysis.

Length: 12 pages of text typed in Times New Roman, 12 point font, double spaced, and left margin justified with 1 inch margins (not including cover or references page, bibliography or graphs/maps).

Sources: You may utilize assigned course materials in addition the bulk will come from sources external to the course.

-Text used in course Doubler, M. D. (2003). Civilian in peace, soldier in war: the army national guard, 1636-2000. Lawrence, KS: University Press of Kansas.

-External sources may include books, monographs, periodicals and journal articles. Sources must be properly cited in accordance with APA format. As a rule of thumb at the graduate level, there should be one source per page of text and cite your sources 2-3 times per page on average. Therefore, this paper should employ approximately 10-12 sources and use 20-30 citations in total.

Note: while using internet sources is permitted, strive to access information from sites that have credibility and are accountable for their content. These include the official websites of government, academic and mainstream media organizations. These internet sources shall not constitute more than 50% overall sources. Popular information sites such as Wikipedia.com are not acceptable for academic work.

Paper Organization Instructions:
1. Start with an introduction section.
2. Then address each supporting area individually with separate subheadings in the paper. Please make sure this is done so thoughts are organized showing how it relates to the question.
3. End the paper with a conclusion.

I would also like to request this be sent in a word doc with APA reference page. I stress APA due to others that I have received that were incorrect and not in APA. Thank you, Tony

There are faxes for this order.
